Stacy Richards has always been drawn to stories where ordinary people face extraordinary circumstances. Growing up near the Appalachian foothills, he developed a deep respect for the power of nature and the resilience of small-town communities.
His fascination with K9 search and rescue began during a chance encounter with a SAR team training in the Smoky Mountains. Watching a handler and his dog work together—communicating through subtle signals, trusting each other implicitly—he knew he'd found the heart of his next story.
